Become A Certified Yoga Teacher in 2026

We are now accepting new students into our 200-hour program. The 200-Hour Teacher Training yoga program is carefully designed for those students who wish to become teachers.  We meet on weekends for 7 months. The training is interactive and personalized, encouraging a well-rounded approach to developing both your personal practice and your teaching skills.

The training is specifically designed to help you:

  • Master your study of asana • Learn the principles of anatomy and body mechanics • Explore the science and art of sequencing • Use props to improve or modify a posture • Finding your voice, as a teacher  • Build confidence through practice teaching • Understanding of yoga history and philosophy • The teacher training yoga is nationally accredited by Yoga Alliance recognized worldwide.

Our students learn the basics of how to develop a safe yoga practice and create safe yoga sequencing for classes that you will teach. Learn restorative yoga and find stillness through savasana and meditation with our  training sessions.

Joss is an ERYT 500 Yacep he started practicing yoga in 1985. He completed his RYT200 and RYT300 in NYC in 2009 and began teaching as an RYT500. It has become a way of life. He opened Midtown Yoga 10 years ago. Our teacher training    focuses on breath work, strong foundation, core strength and alignment to attain body mind awareness.

Our 200-hour teacher training yoga program is designed for aspiring teachers. We meet  weekends over seven months, blending philosophy, anatomy, sequencing, and hands-on teaching practice.

Anyone with a passion for yoga can join. Whether you want to become a certified instructor or simply deepen your personal practice, our teacher training yoga course provides a comprehensive, nationally accredited curriculum. You should have at least 2 years of yoga practice

Your tuition covers all weekend training sessions, learning materials, and guidance, working with experienced yoga instructors.

You will need a yoga mat, notebook, and comfortable clothing for practice sessions. Additional recommended items include yoga blocks, a strap, and a blanket. All required reading materials and manuals are provided as part of your tuition, ensuring you have everything you need from the start.

Students should expect some home study, including reading assignments, personal practice, and occasional homework. On average, this may require 2–4 hours per week. The workload is designed to support learning without overwhelming your schedule, allowing you to balance training with work and life commitments.

Yes, many students join the program with physical limitations. Our training emphasizes safe alignment, modifications, and anatomy-based understanding, making it accessible for a wide range of bodies. If you have concerns, speak with your instructor so adjustments can be made for your comfort and safety.

Graduates often begin teaching at yoga studios, gyms, community centers, wellness spaces, or through personalized 1 on 1 yoga sessions. Many also pursue advanced certifications, specialty trainings, or continue deepening their practice. With a Yoga Alliance–recognized certification, you’ll have the credentials to teach nationally and internationally, opening doors to a flexible, meaningful career.
